Albany Dutchmen

Albany Dutchmen rained out tonight

LOUDONVILLE — For the second consecutive day, the Albany Dutchmen have been rained out at Siena Field as today’s game has been canceled due to impending severe weather.

The game, against the Oneonta Outlaws, was scheduled to start at 5:05 p.m. and it will now be made up as part of a doubleheader at Damaschke Field, beginning at 5:05 p.m. on July 6.

Saturday’s promotion, a Werner Ladder giveaway, has been pushed to tomorrow’s extra innings/doubleheader against crosstown rival Amsterdam.

The Dutchmen and Mohawks will first resume a 4-4 game from July 9 in the eleventh inning, which was postponed due to darkness. The two teams will then play their regularly scheduled game at 5:05 p.m.

The afternoon will also feature a Cabot Cheese Giveaway to the first 500 fans, the annual Helmbold’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, Albany County Stop DWI Night, the Dave & Buster’s Street Team, along with a Cabot Cheese gift box giveaway.

OF NOTE: Bennie the mascot’s birthday party has been rescheduled for July 9th.
